    I had some nicknames that were just shortenings of my surname. Another one that a lot of friends used (and some still do) was Ally.

    i was teased a bit about being short 🙂

    but also in wales lots of us had the same first name, so we always called ourselves by our surnames so I was just called Meara and my other friend with the same name was called by her second name! 🙂
