Question: Does the global warming effect earth magnetic field?

  1. Hi!
The Earth’s magnetic field changes over time (and it has changed many times before in the past) and this definitely affects climate.
However, as far as I know, there is no direct evidence that global warming (or climate change in general) can affect changes in the magnetic field.
Scientists have recently realised that the magnetic field has now been weakening (in some areas more than others), but we don’t exactly know what caused this. It could simply be part of its natural evolution.
