Question: There's a theory which claims that during an earthquake, you should look for the "triangle of life", which could save your life. Is this really true? What are some good "hiding" places during an actual earthquake?

  1. Hi leliaanammaria!

This triangle of life theory is indeed spread throughout the media. But it is criticized by a lot of big agencies. The widely accepted advide is:

    DROP! COVER! HOLD ON!

You can see a nice animation of it here: http://www.dropcoverholdon.org/

The overall important thing is to find something to cover you. Finding a shelter under a heavy table would be a good thing, and also mabye in a door. But mostly you don’t have the time to look for something perfect, so you have to just drop and cover underneath the nearest thing you can find.

    All the best,
    Andi
