Hi!
The main reason why we can’t explain colours to someone who has been blind since birth is because we learn about colours only through the experience of seeing them.
We can describe objects that they can touch and feel and help them imagine how they could look like, but not colours, because unfortunately they have never seen them.

You have 5 senses. If you lack one of those, well, you just do not have perception of this. How can you explain music to a deaf? Try it, but they will not understand why you enjoy so much something they do not perceive.

this is a really hard question… it’s like trying to explain to a vegetarian what bacon tastes like!
i guess the other are right. if you’ve never seen / heard/ tasted / felt / smelt something, then you have no idea what is’s like. and as you can’t compare those things with anything else – red is a colour, you can’t describe it as a dark pink if the person you are talking to has no idea of any colours. its very difficult!
